Our History

Amboy Bank, a full service commercial bank headquartered in the Township of Old Bridge, was established in 1888. Based on our 120 years of strength and service, we have earned a reputation as a well-respected financial institution in central New Jersey.

In addition to our branch locations, the Bank maintains Amboy Direct, a centralized support team located in our Administration building, where customer inquiries are answered and direct banking activities are managed. Our center supports Amboy 24, an automatic telephone voice response unit, and AmboyNET, our Internet banking service with around-the-clock customer service.

Our Financial Position

Amboy Bank is a subsidiary of Amboy Bancorporation, a Subchapter S corporation. The Bank’s total assets stand at more than $2.6 billion. Net income for 2007 was $71.6 million with shareholder’s equity of $269 million.

The Bank’s capital base has consistently exceeded government requirements and industry norms. Return on average assets was 2.56% and return on average equity was 26.18% in 2007
