The Atlantic Stewardship Bank is a full service commercial bank which was founded in 1985 with a specific purpose. The bank was established to provide a quality financial service to both businesses and individual consumers. In addition the bank was designed to Tithe, or share, ten percent of its profits annually with Christian charities. Non- profit organizations receiving a portion of the banks earnings include missions, schools, and healthcare facilities. The bank also offers strong support to civic groups located where the bank maintains its branches .

Arie Leegwater, Former Chairman of the Board of Directors stated, "the concept of a bank giving away ten percent of profits each year is unusual. We at the Atlantic Stewardship Bank have been truly blessed and we consider it a privilege to help these worthy Christian organizations, that reach out to help so many."

The bank was the concept of a great man, Paul Heerema, who worked diligently with a group of Christian businessmen in northern New Jersey to sell the concept to bank regulators, as well as the community.

Special Mortgage Products

NJHMFA First Time Homebuyers Mortgage Program (MFA)

Atlantic Stewardship Bank is a participant in the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency's First Time Homebuyers program. The loan program is for purchase transactions only with loans up to 95.00% of value. Eligible properties include one family units including condominiums (new and existing), 2-4 family dwellings which have been in existence for 5 or more years. Income limits are determined by the area of purchase (subject property) as well as family size. Please call the mortgage department to obtain details as to the current interest rate, maximum loan amounts income limits and other loan criteria.

Interest Only Adjustable Rate Mortgages

•Interest-only payments for a pre-set number of months, followed by monthly payments of principal and interest that amortize the loan over its remaining term.
•Principal reductions allowed at any time. This reduces the monthly payment during the interest-only period of the loan and when the amortization process begins.
This product is ideal for:
•Borrowers wanting more control of their cash flow: use the monthly savings for other use such as furnishing their new home, assisting self-employed who have seasonal income variances.
•Relocation borrowers: expands their purchasing power in a high cost area such as New Jersey.
